Besides Hardwiring Excellence, what current written resources would you recommend as essential for managers?
I recently updated my recommended reading list. Titles that pass the test of time include Jim Collins’s Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap . . . and Others Don’t, Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman’s First, Break All the Rules: What the World’s Greatest Managers Do Differently, and Larry Bossidy’s Execution: The Discipline of Getting Things Done.
I also write a monthly article geared toward giving very prescriptive “to do’s” and practices to leaders. Feedback from managers in the field has been very good. You may find these articles at www.adeak.com.
